Ovaj film nam prikazuje Čeovu potragu za uvidom u ljudsku
„šminku“. Fotografijama polutajnih dokumenata u kabinetima
Bolivijske Akademije Istorije, Bauer i njegov posvećeni tim
otkrivaju fascinantne podatke o ovom heroju – to jeste, sve
dok Bolivijska vlada ne shvati da je počinila grdnu
birokratsku grešku, zatvarajući kabinete za javnost.
Međutim, uspješno su fotografisali tri izuzetno važna
dokumenta koja sadrže Čeova poetična ljubavna pisma
posvećena njegovoj ženi, njegova filozofska razmišljanja i
njegov lični katalog svjetske književnosti koje nikada nije
pustio iz ruku, čak ni tokom 16 mjeseci provedenih na
planinama Sierra Maestra na Kubi.
Director
Tristán Bauer was born in Mar del Plata, Argentina, in 1959.
He was graduated as a film director in 1982 in the
Experimental Centre of the National Institute of Cinema. He
has worked as diretcot of photography and cameraman with
directors such as Estela Bravo, Jorge Denti and Miguel
Littin. He has founded Cine Testimonio a group of
documentary filmmakers who have produced several films about
social themes. He has directed full-length documentaries,
feature films, shortfilms and TV programmes, which granted
him several national and international prizes. Tristan Bauer
created and directed “Canal Encuentro” the educational TV
channel that belongs to the Ministery of Education in
Argentina and from 2008 he is the director of the National
Public Media of Argentina.

International EMMY.
